THE HALL OF

THE EARTH

Dedicated to the forces of Nature and the masculine principle as a driving, fertile force, this Hall celebrates humankind entering forms and time.

Eight columns made of white ceramic and richly decorated with high and low reliefs, adorn this Hall that narrates the complex story of the unitary divine principle fragmenting itself and creating life in the universe.

This impressive Hall has a vertical projection structurally emphasized by eight floor-to-ceiling columns. It was built by excavating under the floor of the Hall of Water to reach deep down in the heart of the mountain.

The entrance of this Hall is marked by a beautiful Tiffany glass portal representing the masculine principle of the Sun. On the opposite side of the circular wall there is the Moon portal, dedicated to the feminine principle. Two more portals add to the refined setting of the Hall and give access to two Gothic-style niches.

The glass windows inside are dedicated to the pulsating heart of our planet, symbolized by the red lava of volcanos and the green vegetation of wooded landscapes. On the walls, elaborate paintings narrate the history of humankind according to Damanhurian philosophy: from the creation of the universe, through challenging times, to the reunification with the divine principle from which everything originated.

A mosaic reproducing the ideograms of the Sacred Language branches in a labyrinth style over the whole floor, meanwhile a beautiful mandala, also showing signs from the Sacred Language, is depicted on the ceiling and is dedicated to the awakening of ancient memories.

The seven faces on the rose window represent the memories that every human being leaves behind, passing from one life to the next, and later has a chance to recover. Around the central sun, the interweaving of Sacred Language symbols for man and woman symbolizes the union between the masculine and the feminine principles

The eight columns in the Hall of the Earth are made of local red clay, then coated with white ceramic and embellished with gold details. The subjects of the decorations are connected to many different cultures and peoples of the world, enriched with signs in the Damanhurian Sacred Language.
