WELCOME TO

DAMANHUR

The Temples of Humankind are the sacred heart of Damanhur, federation of spiritual communities.

Damanhur is a worldwide movement that inspires the lives of thousands of people committed to leaving a positive mark on the world.

The central part of Damanhur is located between Turin and Aosta, in an uncontaminated valley at the foot of the Piedmont Alps. The six-hundred citizens who live there have created a multilingual society, open to exchanges with the world and the different cultures of peoples. Many other Damanhurians live in other parts of Italy and all over the world and support the Federation’s ideals and projects.

Damanhur was founded thanks to the inspiration of Oberto Airaudi, Falco Tarassaco (1950-2013). Falco was a philosopher, healer, writer and artist, active in the field of therapeutic research and new sciences. An innovative and prolific painter, he created a personal style of painting called “Selfic Painting”. From an early age, he manifested a precise spiritual vision and great healing abilities that he developed them through constant experimentation.

In 1975, together with a group of fellow researchers, Falco started the social and spiritual experiment of Damanhur. The Federation now has its own Constitution, a complementary currency system called “Credito,” schools for children, art studios, a publishing house, an organic farm and a renowned medical center for holistic therapies.

The thousands of people who are inspired by the philosophy of Damanhur recognize themselves in a Spiritual People. They commit to respecting life and every being; these values are also dear to all the indigenous peoples of our planet. To foster and spread these ideals, Damanhur has established a Foundation and an ONG which has consultative status at the United Nations.

The Federation welcomes guests from all over the world. It is also a member of GEN, the global eco-villages network, and its new social-spiritual model is often studied by scholars and researchers. The Independent University of Damanhur offers programs and courses to share the discoveries made and the knowledge acquired over forty years of experimentation in all fields of human potential and spirituality.

In 2012, during a trip in Myamar, Feroze and his wife MuMu – a photographer, interpreter and guide – took a boat trip on the beautiful Inle Lake but a terrible storm obliged them them to get ashore in a great hurry. It was already dark, and the rain was torrential. On the shore, they saw dozens of eyes looking at them. They were some of the monks and the children of the Buddhist monastery of Phaya Taung, who took the scared and wet group to shelter. That night in the monastery changed Feroze’s life. He met the head monk Phongyi, who was passionately caring for and teaching more than 600 orphaned and refugee children of the revolutionary wars. Touched by the human goodness that shines also in the darkness of war, Feroze took action to support the Monastery and its children. He set up the Inle Trust, whose goal is the relief of poverty and improving health through the provision of water, sanitation, hygiene and education.

Oleg is a Tao master, a spiritual teacher, an explorer, a philosopher, a researcher and an alchemic wine maker. Oleg was born in Russia, in the former Soviet Union, and as a child, he fell from a roof and was very ill for a long time. This led him to develop a strong ability for introspection and led him to a discovery of his body’s healing abilities. In this interview Oleg describes how the lack of “external freedom” opened him up to the possibility of exploring his inner freedom. At the time he grew up, in the Soviet Union one could have been imprisoned for spiritual practices, yet Oleg says that “the most difficult battle is the one with yourself.”

Extraordinary conditions often give the opportunity to express extraordinary talents: watch this video, meet Oleg and hear his incredible life’s story.

DANIEL COATES

How to Heal using Sound and Frequency

In this episode we are happy to host Daniel Coates, aka “Suntara” and his wife Rosarmy. Suntara means “Bringing light to the Earth” and that is precisely what he wants to do through his Sound Healing Music.
Daniel, an Australian I.T. professional working in London, suffered often from anxiety. By chance he reconnected with an old friend, an opera singer and sound shaman. Daniel went to a session in which his friend used his resonant voice for sound healing and was blown away by what he experienced. That was the start of his new life, and the birth of Suntara.

Now Suntara is himself an established and experienced sound healer, traveling all over the world with his wife and children to offer profound sound healing experiences to an increasing number of people.
This summer he visited Damanhur and performed in the Temples of Humankind. In this interview with Esperide, Suntara and Rosarmy talk about travelling the world on the waves of healing sounds.

Watch it to the end to experience a sound guided meditation!
